no power light

I was checking threads on the power lamp and read that it should come on at start up and then go off but mine won't come on at all even when I stand on the gas.What should I check for first? On the same topic when does the econ light come on?Any help anybody.Thanks

There is nothing wrong with your car. The power light was discontinued on the 1996 model and the economy mode is not applicable to USA models.
