Winshield Wiper motor transmission

Has anyone ever had a problem with their wiper motor or transmission? I turned mine on in the ice storm last winter when they were frozen and now they make a whining noise when they are on, and just the other day they started to jerk when they were on, like you were switching them from high to low really quickly while in mid wipe. I'm going to be replacing them soon, just curious if anyone else has had this problem.

Mine jerk mid-wipe (coming down), when they are going to the summer parked position. They don't jerk if I park them in the winter position or they are in INT/LOW/HIGH mode.

I think you running the wipers with them frozen to the windshield probably had something to do with it. Might be time for a new motor.
