Hold on now. I posted a how-to on the seats for anyone that is interested in DIFFERENT seats. They do not have to use WRX seats. They could use leather Forester XT seats if they wanted. Face it SVX seats age and get unsupportive and cracked. The interior of the car looks infinitely better now and if I get the back seat in so they match it will be even better. And as far the speakers go. You are right I should have kept the original 15watt speakers that rattled just when listening to talk radio. The speakers that are in there now are still hidden behind the stock covers.

That's all fine and dandy... but that doesn't address your original complaint, or my question...

Where is this thread, do you see me stating that it doesn't belong in the Mod forum because of my opinion of it?

Then why did you move it, if not because of your opinion? In MY opinion, they were some lousy mods, but they are mods and probably for some reason---maybe even functionality.

Hey, I do not question that your mods serve your purpose and ARE mods. I might not think some of them are "improvements", but what I think is totally irrelevant since it is your car. The same as with the car being discussed. They are MODS. The only issue was some OTHER peoples definition of mods. It is not consistent and is based on opinion not the obvious fact that the car is modified.

Yes those were mods on that car. No one is arguing that. What I am saying is that the thread was posted as a "Wow (or ughh) look at this thing". Not as a "Here is what you do to mount external gas tanks and shovels". If the latter was what the intention of the thread was then it would have belonged in the mod section. Otherwise you are simply talking about the car. Hence, "General SVX Babble". This is not setting a precedent for RSVX's opinion determining what is a mod and what is not at all.

Read ALL of the MOD Mania posts and see IF that standard is applied in all cases. NOT!!!!!!

I know it is not true of all cases in the mod mania forum. Unfortunately with so few cars (and those of us who do have them and that want to mod them are even fewer) that segment of this forum does tend to get watered down a bit. This car however is definitely a general babble.

There's a simple fix to all of this.

We need a writeup of how to install a brush bar, shovel mounts, jerry can brackets, and a continental tire kit to an SVX. Does anyone have this guy's number?

I moved it not based on my opinion of the mod being good, or bad, or ugly, or stupid, or cool, or the best mod ever...

I moved it for the same reasons sicksubie has already explained...

If you really want to nit pick the placement of threads, we could probably go back and do that with at least half of the threads under every topic. The only way to get a handle on it is to start doing something about it.

To lighten up the stupid nit picking. Or is it a couple of old hens Knit picking.

Reminds me of when we had lots of US jeeps on our roads, complete with cans, but as I recall only one shovel.

Wrong, I was addressing the concern as expressed by a member. You disagree with that assessment, that's cool. Someone always will.

That is all.
