I also have a problem similar to this. I added some Lucas Trans fix(not much), and it is still doing it. The car drives just fine in a straight line, but turning at slow speeds does produce a slight shudder. Any ideas as to what is the cause?

Replacing the front CV axles cured my low speed shutter on the '94. Not that expensive.

I already replaced those, and it helped, but it's back again.

Its probably transfer clutch binding, most likely caused by what ever you have done by "removed transmission resistor" in your signature.

There are a few people that have done it and have had no ill side effects.

I assume that you have disconnected the dropping resistor. When you do this, the transmission reads the throttle to be wide open, so it supplies full line pressure all the time. When you are turning at a low speed,a proportion of the line pressure is applied to the transfer clutch, by the C solenoid.

If this line pressure is higher than what the TCU assumes it is,( because of the disconnected resistor) the line pressure that is applied to the Transfer clutch will be higher than it should be to cause the binding.

Normally when turning at low speeds the throttle opening is low, so the line pressure is low. It is this low line pressure that is applied to the transfer clutch, so it does not bind.

Harvey.

I once was lost, but now have found out info. So...Connecting it might make that horrible shudder go away in a short period of time...Correct???
