Engine off, squealing???
Just yesterday it started happening. A funny squealing noise coming from the front starts when warmed up than goes away when driving for a while. The squeal is constant (doesn't follow the RPM), and when I shut the engine off while the squeal continues, the noise continues for another 3-4 seconds. Then it sounds like it fades away . This can't be belts, it's gotta be something dealing with pressure right?
Also a week earlier my idle has been looping. Up and down. All my functions runs normally when driving with these two present. Any help please. Thanks |

the fading sound after the 3-4 seconds, sounds like that gurgly sound from the fuel pump when you turn the engine off, but it's louder and coming from the engine area. So I don't think it's the fan, but it doesn't hurt to check. I'll start it up right now and go in. |

Don't go overboard with oil, as you do not want any to get on the carbon brushes. However these should be well inside at the opposite end of the shaft away from the fan. CRC would be a good safe bet.
