Ticking sound on shutdown
After driving my SVX then stopping and turning it off it makes a ticking noise for a while after. It is a fairly rapid ticking at almost 2 a second but is somewhat variable. Is this common, the sign of a problem, neither or both? Any help is appreciated!

If it's coming from underneath the car, engine off, in park, it's probably just the exhaust system contracting as it cools. Normal.

If it continues, in tune...
...with the flashing security system light, and eminates from the trunk area, it may be the dreaded auto-seatbelt problem!
See the current threads vis'-a-vis' Seatbelt Options, etc. Just a suggestion! Cheers! Norm

our exhaust has many joints and gaskets, this is probobly where you are getting the contractions, it is completely normal, nothing to worry about.
