Anyone NOT have leaky gaskets?

I have yet to see an svx that doesn't leak at the valve covers, main seals or sterring racks. Anyone have one? Must've used Jaguar technology on the mating surfaces.

I had the rear main seal replaced around 89,000 miles. Otherwise, it's all original.

I've never known of a Subaru that didn't leak something from somewhere.

My 95 is 100% leak free. Crank seal was replaced around 80,000. That's it. Dealership maintaned, have all records. You could eat off my engine. It doesn't burn any fluids either.......so far

My Outback is a whole different story. That thing loves to burn oil.

I've known of very few cars that didn't leak a little oil after a few years. I mean, many of our SVXs are over ten years old. They're going to drip a little, people.

You're absolutely right.

I should have mentioned that my SVX is easily the cleanest of the Subarus I've owned. It seeps just a bit of oil around the valvetrain covers (and doesn't burn a drop).

I've had my valve cover gaskets and cam seals replaced 2x and I still leak. I also leak something that's not oil. But everything I can find is full (brake fluid, steering fluid, tranny fluid, diff. oil). I thought it was power steering fluid, but it's always full. My tranny leaks some too. Dang...my car's a POS

Mine is dry right now but I have replaced the valve cover gaskets and front main seal fairly recently.

My little red wagon was the car that initiated the saying "redneck oil change"
