I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

Emotions inherently are not negative nor positive. Emotions can be negative or positive only through their own actions. For instance, you describe the emotion LOVE becoming painful when not reciprocated. That is the result of another flawed human characteristic known as selfishness. You hurt yourself by expecting something in return for your generosity. You would not feel the pain of LOVE if you did not expect anything in return.

That's just my .5 cents.

TOUCHE!!!!!

But I knew what I meant And here's my brief explanation.... you are right that emotions are neither negative nor positive; however, one's REACTION to any given emotion can be. Therefore, yes, expecting to be loved in return is selfish and painful and if you wind up in that predicament, you've got nobody to blame but yourself.

Life is too short to allow yourself to react to emotions in a negative or self-defeating way.

That is not LOVE Bobb, I am giving Honda an earful. Honda has no choice but to listen .

But on the note of love, I'm not looking for love. I'm looking for an outlet for my boredom. A way to waste the short yet long amount of time on this craphole of a planet .
