John - you have way to much time on your hands. You had better come up with another SVX project.

Wasn't this discussed by Archie & the Meathead in one episode of "All in the Family"? I seem to recall Archie saying it was proper to put on "a sock and a shoe and a sock and a shoe" as opposed to "a sock and a sock and a shoe and a shoe" just in case the house caught fire halfway through and you had to run outside. His way, you wouldn't get your socks wet!

Makes kind of "Archie Bunker sense", if you think about it.

But his way you would be running crooked and slowing yourself down

LOL! Yeah but if the house caught fire when I had one sock and shoe on I would be running out of the house like little Manuel . At least with only socks on I would be insulated from the direct cold of the ground and both my legs would be the same length.

I generally to sock, sock, shoe, shoe but if the floor is a dirty one I will do what you do to keep my socks clean. I am a flexible person, and while I cannot touch my toes with my legs straightened, I do vary my sock & shoe methods. Sometimes I go left then right. Other times I may go from right to left. I suppose it comes from being ambidexterous.

Ask a stupid question and learn WAY more about people you associate with than you ever wanted to know. What could we poll next...butt wiping techniques?

Lets see...front to back? back to front? from behind the back? from between the legs? wipe, wipe, wipe, look? wipe, look, wipe, look? Hmmm...

-Johnny (seriously considering that one unless Harry beats me to it)
