puny engines? aside from the base-model Boxster, which engines are you referring to? the 3.6L 450hp turbo in the 911, the 450hp V8 turbo in the Cayenne, or the 604hp V10 in the Carrera GT?

if Subaru is trying to be Porsche in 2003, how do you explain the 1958 Subaru 360 that has an air-cooled boxer engine? have you considered selling Subaru and Porsche your ice-cold engine bay technology? they could have kept making the air-cooled engines.

you misunderstand.
the carerra gt is a new breed of porsche supercar as is the cayenne a new foray and suby has yet to get that point.
and yes i do consider a V8 to be puny when its competing with 10s 12s and 16s. the only reason their mass market cars are fast is because they are turboed and the mechanics are very polished.

im merely stating that it looks like suby wants to eventually compete directly with them.
give it 5 or 6 years.

*as for my cold engine bay tech, its very experimental and you have to live in alaska for it to work.
