I had to look it up too. I guess Gordon is a mechanical engineer. I think those MechE guys call struts/shocks snubbers. I'm surprised he didn't call it a dashpot.

Errr...I meant #20321 the rubber "snubber" that takes the shock if the "dashpot" is fully collapsed such as large pothole etc. described as "helper"

Thanks for that clarification. Does that part normally sit inside the boot and at the top near the mounts or down near the "dashpot". My boots basically sit down on the strut versus up near the mount. I never knew if that was right or wrong.
