Hi All
After reading and asking a few questions I went and did it, bought my first SVX, paid $1500.00 for the 95 in the pictures attached.

Interior looks amazing . How many miles on it ? A good paint job and body work and you got a decent looking, and I would hope running SVX. Do u have any records of what has been done to it ? Timing belt Tranny work ,bearing and brake etc.

Re: New to me 95

I posted the details in the 95 list thread, but it seems to run beautifully. I drove it to work tonight, the cruse does not work, I will HAVE to fix that if I want to keep my liscense, 100mph crusing feels great (that is 160kmh with a limit of 100kmh very much disliked by the authorities). plus I am used to the spedo being in Kmh not Mph. The seller included a new timing belt that he just did not have time to put on. The A/C belt and tensioner are missing. There are a bunch of papers in the glove box that I have not had time to go through yet, so I have some records of what has been done. Will add a picture to my profile when I get time.

Re: New to me 95

Oh how well I know . Out west in Kansas we found our self cruising at 100MPH a few times. The care are a pleasure to drive . Even the old beat up ones drive better than some new cars I have driven. i can't give up driving an SVX . Yours will be up to par in no time . With help from this crew. they saved me a lot of money when things were wrong with mine .

Re: New to me 95

Does your cruise control button light up when you press it? On mine the button is a little touchy. I have to push it in and release it slowly before the light on the button comes on. I have to usually press it in 2-3 times before I can get it. Once it is lit the cruise works great.

Re: New to me 95

You also may have to push the button several time to get it to light and work. They are just that way. Welcom and good luck.

Re: New to me 95

Thanks for the welcome, the cruse light does not come on, I will try playing with the button on the way home in the morning, but I have not had a chance to check the fuse, maybe that is all that is wrong. I am learning how to hold the car back, but it seems a shame not to let it run..

Smile Re: New to me 95

Hopefully all my problems with this car will be this easy to solve Replaced the Cruse/ABS fuse and fixed 2 problems at once, cruse now works and ABS light is out Apparently mine is a US car that someone brought into Canada it has the security system and no heated seats. I have put about 300miles on it so far and loving every minute of it. Have to come up with a name for her.
