Clunkity sounds from Deven
Deven, aka the bowling shoe machine (), has been making a funny sound lately. After going up a very steep hill my car started making a rythmic clunking sound. it happens when accelerating, but does not happen when revving in nuetral. It does happen when gliding down hill in nuetral too but not as bad as when accelerating. I was thinking engine at first but the oils at a good level though I admit I need an oil change.
Umm I was thinking along the lines of Front diff. Does anyone have an idea? either of the toms? anyone at all? I'm scared for Devs and want him to last me through the school year and while I pay back loans, and credit card, other bills, etc. Mike621 does not know what it is, and heard the sound first hand. he seems reluctant to want to help at all. I'd take it to All We'll but... it's a bit too far away to drive and risk something blowing up. Any help would be nice. I'm thinking front diff, it sounds transmission based, in that the engine revving fine in still nuetral. Hope to hear from you guys. If ya know me ya know i'm not super car literate, and Mike621 used to help me out with these sort of things but... things went pear shaped. oh keep in mind my steering stuff needs a fix up soon. maybe that? i doubt it...
