Took me a bit of driving to realize where this intake was delivering. I had only recently done the power mode mod so I was already getting used to a car that felt alot quicker than normal. Still, I don't notice a difference on the butt dyno in the lower end.

But right above 4000 rpm - I am guessing whenever the IRIS valve does it's thing - is when I see the improvement. From this point on up to redline the motor comes alive. It honestly feels like between the IRIS and the new intake that at a certain rpm somewhere above 4k the car gains another 20hp.

I know that's unreasonable to think an intake could do that, and I don't believe it could alone. But something is way different above that sweet spot to make it feel like you opened up the powerband on a 2 stroke. The acceleration changes from a smooth linear increase, to the car "pulling out from under you" feeling. Almost like when a turbo starts to boost. Maybe it's the combination of the intake, IRIS, Z32 MAF, injectors that are all starting to click together.

Thanks to Tom and Myx. I like it!

Chris -- let me know when the next dyno day comes up near you, I might make the trip up there and do a few runs with and without this tube. And then we could do the same on your svx.

Tom

P.S. The CAI are very short in length using a mini HKS filter just outside the fender... This way due to concerns about driving in wet weather and getting water in the intake. this raises the level of the filter to avoid potential damage to the engine and sensors in the event of driving through puddles...

I'm new but by all means put me down on the list for one when you start making them after working on your car.

I will no longer be doing broup buys for these intakes... As of right now they are available only by ordering them on our website.
