Help with one more connection

Could someone please help me with this connection? It's located on the front passenger side of the intake manifold. I thought the 2 smaller lines went to the canister but don't know where this one fits in. As always, thanks for the wealth of knowledge here.

Vacuum hose goes on there and connects to the brake booster I believe.

Thanks! I remember reading how the power brakes booster uses engine manifold vacuum, but didn't know where the connection was.

That looks like the brake booster, but that connection is on the drivers side rear of the engine...

If he is using a JDM engine Dave, it might be on the other side...

OK, that makes sense that it would be on the right side. But on the front???

Isn't he putting it in the back of a 914 or something?

Back/front will interchange in that case, yeah?

I am putting the engine in a 914, but I didn't change where that connection was located. I played with the idea of flipping the whole intake manifold around, but decided to leave it alone. That's where it was when I bought the engine. How do I tell if I have a JDM engine?

Alright, I couldn't have a JDM engine because I've got the connections for the EGR on the intake manifold. The JDM engines didn't have those. The person I bought my engine from must have moved the brake booster connector.

lol... you have the intake runners on the wrong sides... Thats why the vaccum port is on the pass side front and not the driver's side rear

Thanks. It will be blocked off and I'll probably just leave it. I appreciate all the quick answers.
