is an 88 xt6 worth buying for parts?

just wondering......i found an 88 xt6 in decent shape (little/no rust and seemingly well maintained) but with a bad head gasket.....
max price i'm willing to pay is 300$ but ONLY if it has enough parts worthwhile for the svx.......

i dont what if ANYTHING really transfers from one to the other.......my oil pan is good, but it IS getting rusty......would the 88 2.7L pan fit?
and.......is there anything else?
is the rear diff similar?
o2 sensors?
tps?
maf?

ANYthing..................?

rob"needs parts, but not THAT badly"m.

I would not buy it for parts. I would fix it and drive it. If it is really in good shape with only a bad head gasket why not swap in a different motor? I don't know what other motors easily fit in. I would be tempted to buy it and swap in a EJ20T out of a WRX or if that is too expensive I would swap in a EJ22T out of an old legacy

You can use the lug nuts, but not with the stock SVX wheels...

lets see what else??? Is the cig lighter still in it?

Seriously, there is little to nothing that can be transfered over, the rear diff is the same casing, but will either be a 3.7 or 3.9.

I'm not trying to snipe it out from under you, but if you give me the details, I'll post them up on xt6.net.

trust me i kinda agonize over this.......i can get a legacy turbo 4eat for like 100$ not far from here.........it runs ok and would sure make a sweet ride outta the xt6 but i just CANT do another project...too many in the yard now and the house STILL isnt done(insert eye-roll here....
the boss has spoken....no more car stuff til the house is done...or at least nearly done... LOL

and this time she means it
so........

it'd be bad enough if i bring home another car to just park til i get to it.....!!

no snipe at all !!

no biggie.......i kinda thought that virtually zilch would transfer....

goto kijiji.ca and click on halifax
then search for subaru...u will find it advertised there..
i havent seen the car up close yet, but i did do a drive-by (no one appeared home) and it sure looked pretty decent...silver in colour.......would this be an air suspension model?

If it's an AWD XT6, it would have came with air suspension, only the FWD had coilovers....but many have been swapped to coils by now...

(Now my XT6 has a little more in common with an SVX than your average Xt6... )
