Security Module and Keyless entry module

Where on a 95 SVX would the Security module and the
Keyless entry module be located?

Besides the Security module, what else is necessary to add the
security feature to a car without one?

Thanks

Chuck E.

Not sure what it would take to add it to a car that didn't already have it, (Probally just a switch swap and adding the module) But if it already has it, it will be between the speakers in the trunk.

My 95 has sensors in the door handles.

So in addition to the module, which on a RHD car is behind the rear right panel and armrest for the back seat window winder.

Matt you can also program the door to unlock, by the number of times you move the door handle up and down. Handy if you lock the keys inside.

Harvey.

Harvey,

tony (aka Desertrunner) mentioned this, but he wasn't sure how it worked.

Do you know how it works? Each time I lock it, then check it's locked, it beeps at me...then each time I lift the handle again, it keeps beeping at me.

Matt

One module does it all.

Edit: You'll need a wireless transmitter key fob too, of course.

I assume you have a L model SVX?

You need more then just the module and remote.
I have the last OEM factory accessory alarm from Subaru. It works for all dual air bag model SVX's. Besides the obvious alarm module and remotes to make it work you need the relay harness that plugs in under the dash near the steering wheel and the security switch.

The beeping when you lift the handle is normal, just telling you "to keep your hands off my car"

The process for doing the keyless unlocking, is here in my locker.

I would imagine that the same switch contact that turns on the
nightlight around the keyhole acts as the sensor that makes it beep
when you lift the handle.

What is this wiring harness near the steering wheel? what does it connect to?

Thanks

Chuck E.

No transponder. That didn't start getting used in cars too often until the late 90's or so.
