What's the best oil grade for the warm weather?
I want to know the best oil grade from the tropics and brand? Like 10-40w, 40w, 50w etc would hold up to the hot weather. Brands like Mobile, Havoline, etc. are some examples.
thanks, sid |

There's a diagram in the SVX owner's manual that recommends 10W-30 for warmer climates and 5W-30 for climates where temps can dip below 0* Farenheit...

I am using castrol super synt. 10W-60. this is the ulltimate in heat handling oils... I dunno you can try it. but for cold weathers use either 0W-40 or 0W-50 grades. I will switch my oil to 0W-40

BTW, The Euro spec Castrol products are not available in the US. Same thing as the Sylvania SilverStar headlamps, it's a different animal here versus there even if the name is the same. |

Try Chevron Supreme 10W-30, or...
...Chevron Delo 15W-40 if you are really driving it hard in extremely hot conditions.
Cheers!
