I am now liquid cooled.

Hey, since I'm so bored I figured I'd share the news. Today at work we had a new years party(sort of). Prizes were given out to employees, about 10-15 "Koolance EXOS" Cooling units were given out. I recieved one and Put it into effect when I got home.

The company I work for started up about 7 or 8 years ago, we currently only have one store, located in Federal Way. A few years ago, the owner decided to develop a consumer product for liquid cooling PCs, instead of normal air cooling. He started a company called Koolance. I'm not sure if many of you have heard of it, if any but, It's getting pretty big, selling worldwide.

Anyway, I'm really bored so I decided to post this, I'm sure it will drop off the page soon enough.

Cool (sorry, pun intended) - always nice to win a prize, even if it's just at work.

i keep trying to convince the FLA lottery people that i MEANT to buy a ticket with those numbers, musta been a machine screw-up, so far I'm unsuccessfull.

i got so tired of the noise i work from a laptop. I've seen the EXOS product reviewed at http://www.hardocp.com. still look around from time to time to see what the computer world is up to, but don't consider myself current in hardware or software anymore.

Cool

Liquid cooled rigs sure are sweet! I'm not much into overclocking like I used to be (still running an celeron 300A @ 450mhz) and am planning for my next pc to be fast enough to avoid having to overclock. Maybe if I had some more up-to-date hardware I'd still be interested in making another heavily modified rig. Enjoy the new hardware! What kind of proc are you running? The newer 478pin P4's can be overclocked like heck and would greatly benefit from that cooler.

I'm running an xp 2400. I won that at an AMD event held in Seattle a month or two ago. I have yet to unlock the multiplier so I haven't really Overclocked it much yet. I know I could just crank up the FSB but then problems with your PCI cards start happening because it also changes the frequency of the PCI slots.

Since your company is doing well, has it gone public, may want to invest.

I don't think it ever will. The owner is very well off, and he is having fun with the company.

Be careful - that particular coolant has been known to turn hard drives into floppies.

Plus it can play heck with your processor.

I used to think overclocking was the way to go until I realised that it's still cheaper to just buy the faster CPU. I had also thought of running dual CPU's until I also realised that in a year or so you will be able to buy a single CPU with as much (or more) power for 1/4 the price.
