Is it that they labelled them differently? Or just the fact that from the factory they put them backward on those specific SVX's?
Yes, but they couldn't be both at the same time, like you were talking about.

I think you guys are disoriented.

If you have spokes that point / that way (all 4), one side will look like they're leaning forward, the other side backward. This is how it was in the '94 Eclipse GSX's (and the first batch of 2G '95's).

If you have spokes that 2 of them point / and 2 of them point \ that way, then depending where you put 2 of them, you could have them all point in the same direction, but you have the option of having them all point forward or backward. This is probably what you're referring to, and in this case if tires are rotated without pulling them out and back into the appropriate rims, some times you'll have them pointing forward, sometimes backwards.

In the second example, from the factory it coudl be possible they installed the 2tone silver/gray SVX's with them so they look like they're leaning forward (which you guys refer to as being backwards). That doesn't change the fact that if you wanted to you could simply swap the wheels around and you have them leaning backwards (which for the masses would mean the rims are pointing forward).

And to go back into the games topic... GT4 looks bad! I dont' have a PS2 but I think I may buy one in December when GT4 comes out.

Hopefully the SVX is in it.

I can confirm the SVX is in both games.

K great, but the is EXACTLY what the SVX does not have. The SVX has two LEFT wheels identifiable with a L near the valve stem. The right hand wheels lack the L, and are 'pointed/leaned' the OTHER direction (in comparison to the left hand wheels).

Hence when you say it only matters which side of the car you are looking at, you must have four identical wheels, and not a complete set of original SVX wheels.

Back from the dead!

OK, so I got Kaido Battle 2. Here's some rival SVXi I raced:

It's sad though that I completely owned them with my little FF Toyota Starlet, uphill and in the rain no less!
Haven't gotten to the point when I can buy and tune my own though...

yeah, import only though, so you'd need a modded ps2. I bought it on eBay.

Can you post some screen shots from game play? It'd be neat to see how it looks.

Specifically of the SVX, or just in general? You can find general ones here. I’m finally able to buy an SVX, so I'll try and get some in-game shots of that.

I was thinking if I should buy the Kaido battle 2 or not, and I'm now so sure to get it!! I have JP ver. PS2, so it would be perfect. I was so disappointed with the SVX in Sega GT, but as long as I see the screen shots of red ones in the Kaido battle 2, the car looked very nice! and captured the feeling of SVX really well. Also, I really hope that new GT4 would have SVX in it, but so far, I haven't seen it yet. not even on the car list... we'll see it in couple of weeks.
