Yay, new 1/4 mile time.

Went to the all Subaru day at NED this weekend and finally got to run my car with the 5 speed. My best time was a 14.7 with a slipping clutch launch. The rest of the day I did clutch dump launches (spinning tire in first and chirping 2nd) trying to get a 14.5 but no luck. After 4 more runs of mechanical abuse and 15sec. time slips I decided to be happy with my 14.7 and let her rest. I did manage to walk the only other SVX there (sorry Iggdog) All in all it was a blast.

Thumbs up Awesome time...

What mods do you have on the '92 besides the 5 spd?

Also give us a break down of your timeslip - 60', 1/8 mile time, trap speed?

Great driving!!!

Yeah, I got walked . My best time was 16.005 out of all 6 runs I made. I was getting progressively bettAr. I wanted to get 15.9xx by the end of the day, but didn't feel like giving it another shot in the afternoon. I wanted to burn off some gas on the highway on the way to lunch and run slightly lighter or something. One of my friends blew his tranny and that kinda sucked up all my attention.

But Subafreak, those were some nice runs. props on the times. I think you got 15.2 when you ran against me. I would have been slightly more embarassed had you gotten one of your 14.x runs when I was on the other side of the track .

luckily for my ego, I got to walk a legacy turbo a few times.

...had a great time! At the end of the day, that's all that counts. What were the temps like at the track IggDawg?

low 60s in the morning, high 70s by the end of the day. felt much hotter with the sun.

and yeah, it was a good time. I'm not a "straight line racing" person, but there's something nice about flooring it and not having to look around for cops. I think not really being concerned with making a great time made it even more fun. it was especially cool to watch my friend Ed and his brother Jim (Sirkbac and Fishguy on NASIOC) spank STis on Ed's 929. There was one run that got taped where he stalled off the line, and shot past him by the 1/8th mark IIRC :P

Subafreak, take a pic of your timeslip when you get the chance. It'll be nice if we could start our own 1/4 mile registry on this site for SVX's only...

I plan on hitting the track this September when the temps cool down here in VA. Hopefully, I'll have Longass's chip and the 4.44 gears by then.

Yeah, but most of the 15 sec runs I had my wife in the car (ouch! sorry honey) including the time I ran you.

Did you catch the run I did against the Legacy? I blew the start and bogged big time, he got like a 60' head start and I still cought him befor the end. I ran a 15.66 on that run.

It was an awsome time though, I don't think there is anyother time you can go there and get that many runs in, I got 9 runs in that day and I wasn't even trying.

No, yes, yes. Have you even run yours yet? Then again with that little, um "take off problem" I'm guessing not. The way I was slamming gears on some of the runs your car would have sounded really bad. I can't belive I was breaking the tires loose.

Re: Re: Awesome time...

Sweet looking timeslip! Your 60' was awesome. I was cutting 2.0 60' times in my 13.6 sec Lightning (check out my sig)!!!

Take a picture of it and post in your locker. Also send a copy to Myxalplyx who runs the scoobymile registry. You'll have the fastest all motor SVX in there!

Your SVX is also officially faster than poweredx2's 14.78 run (w/o NOS). You now have the time to beat around here!

Great job!
