:) :(
I was at the dealership and sitting around yesterday when a guy in mid 30s and his kid (around 6) pulls in and starts walking around my car. One of the salesmen went out to see if they needed something and the man told him that they just wanted to look at the Lambogini.
A second brighter note: As I was seriousely thinking of ripping the car up and parting it out, I fueled up two days ago for 20 bucks (2.3/g) and the car took me over 300 miles on that. Don't ask how. Behind the new dealership is a shop called mustang restoration. They restore all forms of mustangs. I saw 2 briklin (sp??) in pieces which will never run ever again. I'll post photos later

That's hilarious...I could see someone seeing a Ferrari, but a Lamborghini?
-Chike P.S. You should have sold him your 'lambo' for 200K and then bought a fleet of SVX's greater than Earl's! Quote:

And on that day, everyone will bow their heads for Earl in the event of his owning the most SVX's. Ya know, Earl probably holds the world record for the most SVX's owned by one person. If so, I congratulate you Earl!!

A 74 will run you around 10k in good condition. They hold more value than the SVXes... Now for the pictures.

Ah yes, the Bricklin! Invented by Malcolm Bricklin, co-founder of Subaru of America! What a small world!!

I met Malcom Bricklin in Scottsdale when Subaru in America meant the little 360s! Very cool little cars! I bet he would have done better with them now! :-)

Lamborghini?
I always thought they looked more like a Lotus.

Bricklin
Never heard of those cars until I read this thread. Very cool indeed. No paint on the cars. The body panels are bonded acrylic on top of fiberglass. The color was the only option.
I assume with a 351 windsor, performance shouldn't be too bad with a light car.

One of my Brother-in-Laws just traded a Bricklin for a 69 Camaro. Seems he intends to drag-race the Camaro. BTW his son has a 68 Camaro (best time @ 10.94 - on a smallblock). I think it's kinda neat as Dad & Son have re-bonded as friends (and as a freebie bonus, it's driving both their wives crazy as they sit & talk cars for hours ).
BTW, he loved/hated the Bricklin...when something went wrong, which was fairly regular (and fairly typical of a low production - 2875 total - non-mainstream OEM), getting it fixed was much more entertaining than anything we suffer through. |
