I intend on upgrading to the konis and ground controls.
The ride did not bother me, but the inch/pounds were not much more than stock.
Currently I am running 400# 10"front,
and 300#, 12" rear QA1 springs on Koni's.
I am very happy with this set up.

Or, if you have a LOT of time on your hands and a solid grinder, you can do this.

Come to think of it, I think my ride issue may be the 18" wheels. I kind of remember the car riding fine before I put those on while still having the motorsport springs.

Re: Why do people use Lowering Clamps.

Tom, what are these QA12 springs? Are they readily available and if so could they replace a GC setup? I currently have the Koni/GC setup and have the most aggressive spring rate...hence a rather harsh ride.

I misspoke.

QA1 springs are readily available through Summit Racing for about $165.00 shipped for a set of four.

Switching over should not be too hard, but you will lose your height adjustability.

I am not sure if the spring tops are compatable.

I have mine custom made for $110.00 in machine costs and the cost of 1/2" flat stock aluminum plate.
