Hood Struts

Any information about where to get some good aftermarket struts, or how to repair the old one's is greatly appreciated.

No. I am not interested in the "Like New" slide over parts that you can easily find on E-Bay, that require immediate payment.

Thanks Folks.

Do a search in this forum. Someone just posted on how to modify some NAPA struts so they'll work. It was justed posted within the last month or so. It looked real good.

SVXcuseme did the writeup. I just looked at it.

Alternate struts

The struts I wrote up in my personal locker are O.K. but I ended up buying a beefier pair. Only problem was they had smaller tips then we need. I made them work but you probably could find some in the store near you. They key is getting a pair with both ends threaed or both ends with the circlip holding the tip on. This way you can swap the small tip for the large and you'll be in business. Check em' out, read the write up, and you'll see what I mean.

Original part in write - 519-8227
New beffier strut - 819-5320
