Best place for Racks

My rack is leaking and my rods are wobbly.

Where's the best place for a rebuilt steering rack or can they be resealed? Do they come w/tie rods ends or can they be done separately? Thanks

Hopefully you've fixed the problem by now but:

Haven't looked much but Motorsport Warehouse has them:

rebuilt rack

Jeff,
I have a place here in Denver that does a great job on racks and cv shafts. I've used them for years.
The rack is $195. exchange. Lifetime warranty. As I remember the core is $150. I think. They have them in stock all the time.
Let me know if you're interested.

Man, worm, I could spend 1/2 day on msports site. Really seems expanded.

I'll look locally for a rack & get one from CO if I don;t find a decent one. Which cars were electronic?

I up for new or rebuilt rack. It does not leak and I think it has about 202k miles on it. However I think all the bushings are worn out and I think the electronic control valve (92LS-L) may also be worn out. I am concerned about getting a rebuilt only because I need to get all the worn parts replaced and I am not sure they do that. Huck had a binding problem after getting a rebuilt. My rack has Lucas ps additive in it now and without that the rack binds up.

I was pricing a rebuilt rack from Advanced auto but I think the prices and or part numbers are messed up. The road speed sensitive rack is less than the standard rack.

rebuilt rack

I think all the hi-end versions had electronic racks(ls-l & ls-i?).It's easy to tell what's what.
Where the steering wheel shaft connects to the rack(the input shaft if you will)there is a solenoid that is mounted to the rack. This solenoid is about 1-1/4" in dia. and about 3-4" long as I remember. There is a wiring harness coming off the top of the solenoid and wire tied to the rack. You can clearly see it from the top, looking down past the starter and below the master cyl.
This is right at the top of the rack. The non electronic looks like a 'normal' rack. Very obvious.
