Re: I have a 3d printer... Who needs replacement parts?

Those horns are just what I was looking for today. I don't have a thingiverse account set up yet but I am working on it.

Yeah I noticed that as well. I wonder if they are on the forum?

Re: I have a 3d printer... Who needs replacement parts?

Hey everyone, sorry for the long hiatus! College has been keeping me plenty busy, but here and there I have time to work on fun stuff like this.
I have been missing the little bolt cap for the wipers since I got my SVX. I'm sure that I'm not the only one either, so I went ahead and designed and printed one out of TPU (flexible filament). Fits great, looks pretty good (definitely better than nothing) and as far as I'm concerned it does the job! In the long run, I would like to start selling these (not sure what to charge) but for now if anyone needs some I am only charging for shipping (~$6 with USPS Flat Rate). Best way to reach me aside from messaging on here would be email, which is john(at)dimink.com.
Going to try to put some more pictures of other parts up soon, so stay tuned for those interested...

Re: I have a 3d printer... Who needs replacement parts?

What about the plastic cover for the rear wiper bolt? I don't know the part number or it's offical name.

I've managed to lose two of them (automatic car washes?) through the years and my dealer can't order them any longer.

Is this the piece you're referring to?

I've lost a couple of those also. One I found when the snow melted. I must have knocked it off with a snow brush when I drove the Ebony '92 in winter.

Re: I have a 3d printer... Who needs replacement parts?

Here's what I came up with. I made it out of ABS, seems like a pretty good material. I sanded and smoothed out the print lines, but they're still slightly visible. More post processing would be necessary if I was going to be shipping these off, but for proof of concept, they're not bad.

Re: I have a 3d printer... Who needs replacement parts?

I will offer my printing services. I'm experienced with the creation but not the designing process.
