Re: what is your Ultimate SVX transmission package

Actually, looking back at what you said now he might be right. If you really want to run boost an obd2 svx probably isn't the right car to start with.

Re: what is your Ultimate SVX transmission package

Running OBD-II boost won't a big deal if you don't mind switching out your EM, wideband O2, MAF, injectors, AIT sensor, and a few vacuum and pressure lines and locking your wastegate open, driving it until all but two monitors are ready, bringing it in for inspection, and then reversing the whole procedure until next year. If this is your only car, you'll need to accommodate for downtime, and there's the sticker's time sensitivity, as well.

Given the choice, you should mind. It's a pain in the ass.

In NY, if you're looking to boost to 6-8 psi and swap out your transaxle, OBD-II is going to be more of a hassle than it's worth.

Re: what is your Ultimate SVX transmission package

I have a 1996 JDM VTD tranny in a 1992 USM vehicle.

TCU with a chip with stock 1996 JDM firmware. Valve body from Mike, a big cooler during summer months. I also have the QC from Harvey, controversial as it may be - I like it. I also have the POWER switch mostly ON.

At the rear I run a Quaife Torsen diff and at the front the TBD from Modena.

As Mike said the VTD is awesome - especially with the torque biasing diffs at both ends. It really shines on ice track days.

I also run with app 5 PSI boost.

Koni shocks, Dales springs and a 20mm rear sway bar.

All this equals to a well balanced grand tourer. An old mans carriage.
