Re: CEL blinks these codes.

Hold the phone....
So you're saying that there is supposed to be +12volt at the injectors when "ignition on"? And that the ECU does NOT supply that +12v power?

Yes that is right. They have power all the time, the ECU just connects them to ground when they are to fire.

Re: CEL blinks these codes.

Sob.
Well them not having power would throw the error codes I'd imagine.
I can hook them up to an ignition on switched power wire.
I assume the injectors don't need high amperage correct?

THANK YOU!

They are fed the 12V from the main relay.

Harvey.

Re: CEL blinks these codes.

So the main relay powers them, okay.
I got some splicing to do and I'll get back and let you know. Should only take a few minutes as everything is hanging out already.

Thank you very much for the help!

Re: CEL blinks these codes.

Well I'm getting power to the injectors now!
Still dumping fuel on the drivers side, don't know why that's happening.

My guess is now that there is fuel, spark.
I' tracing down the ignition power wires now.

*update*
Wired fuzed ignition switch to main relay power, still no start.
I'll pull a plug tomorrow and see if I'm getting spark.

I doubt I am, and I'll have to trace down as to why.

Re: CEL blinks these codes.

No spark at the plugs.
Ignitor is getting no power.
Ignition switch to the ECU is getting now power with "ignition on".

Wired Ignition switch on ecu to main relay 'ignition on' power. Now reads +12V.
Ignitor needs merged with main relay 'ignition on' power, correct or incorrect?

PS: thanks for all the help . Next time I'm buying a full harness and having I-wire do the thinning.

If you look at the diagrams in the wiring download,( electrical, P44 @ P46) you can see that the coils get there power from the Ign. The Ignitor gets it from the main relay.

Harvey.

Re: CEL blinks these codes.

I got the common ignition +12 wired to "ignition on" power, has power while cranking and 'engine running'. Still no start.

Pulled a plug and coil, still no spark .
Fixed an exposed wire on the cam sensor plug, still no start.
No shorts in the circuit that I could determine via continuity testing. Nothing grounded out at the harness.

Ignition +12 "while cranking" has power on the ECU side, so it knows when the engine is cranking.

Also, I didn't find any +12 wires on the ignitor plug itself, this diagram does not match up to my ignitor.
My ignitor has 7 wires on one side and 6 on the other, the one with 7 has a big fat ground going to it, no wire there is +12 that I can see.

Then again i suck at wire diagrams, perhaps you could shed some light on this? I can post a picture of my ignitor if it helps.

Re: CEL blinks these codes.

I have both black/white wires merged in the main harness off the ECU plugs with +12V power from the main relay.

Those B/W wires DO NOT appear on my ignitor. And my ground is in the dead center not off to the side like it shows there. This is weird.

The coil wires are OK,

The Ignitor ground is a black wire, runs off pin 4, and is grounded at the ECU, pin 15 of plug B62.

Harvey.

Re: CEL blinks these codes.

Ignitor wasn't the issue, turned out to be the guy that did the harness wired the crank sensors backwards, it runs!

Thank you Harvey for all your help and guidance!
