My pride and joy is preparing a PHD in Physics. Long story short, she is into nanotech and on the verge of making a new invention in her field.

She recently applied her study to Nanotechnology magazine and her article was accepted. It will feature in March 2010 issue

. She is my little Einsteina, I am really proud of her.

Now the issue is that I tried to

for someone who sell Nanotechnology issues by www.iop.org over the internet. Even tried Amazon, Ebay, etc... without any luck. We can get it online as a soft copy, but the pleasure of holding a document with your name in it, is far better

We know that such magazines are distributed in universities, institutes, colleges, even sold in some stores. If someone can get his hands on a copy of this, I would be really grateful to him/her.

Well I spend the past two years trying to understand what she's doing... and still... Here is her explanation about the subject:

Elaborating magnetic nanofibres and nanotubes by electrospinning techniques for magneto-optical and biomedical applications (for cells drugs delivery....).

One of the applications of this technology is to treat exactly the body cells that have some kind of disease. Say for example a person has cancer and a part of his bodycells are infected. Instead of taking drugs by injection or digestion and treating your "entire" body, this technology allows you to put the drugs inside the magnetic nanostructures, insert them inside the body (blood) and control their route magnetically and force them to treat only the bad cells leaving no side effect on the rest of the good cells.

As for pictures, well there aren't any of the project at the moment since this is something "nano" which requires one heck of a microscope to see. Furthermore it is still confidential until the thesis is presented and debated.

Ok there was an update... adding to her article in the magazine, Mrs. SilverSpear's work was accepted in this year's TechConnectWorld Conference and Expo, and she will be going there (CALIFORNIA) to explain it further.

THIS is the Expo.

Now the question is: Should THE Spear finally get off his lazy butt and accompany Mrs. Spear, visit California and probally meet some of the good SVX'ers? Or just leave for another time and prolong the vacation for at least 10 days?

Haha, nice one Gene, but my money will be just nano-scopic

compared to what your government is "hacking" from the Middle East area

I am working on it, it seems it is a highly probable trip. I will also go to CLEVELAND since the Mrs's brother lives there

I will keep you all updated !

Lee, the purpose of this is to show that I might be going to the west coast as well as somehow the mid-east coast, meaning looking forward to meet a good chuck of the guys around here.

Huck the pleasure will definitely definitely be mine. Nothing is confirmed as of now, I might even not travel there this time.

I always thought of surprising you all at a reading or something, let us wait and see how it goes
