Dash lights went out...
So last night I was driving home from work and my dash lights suddenly went out. Instrument panel and climate control lights. The CC buttons still light up, as do the gear selection lights and the stereo, but the rest are gone. Before you jump to conclusions, the fuse was the first thing I checked. It was blown, so I switched it with a good one, and still nothing. Haven't checked yet but I'm assuming it blew the fuse right away. Any ideas? I haven't touched any wiring lately, so this is completely random.

Re: Dash lights went out...
Wow... Just when I thought I had learned about every obscure glitchy part found in these cars Could this also explain why I have a stop lamp indicator that flashes every now and then? I know you said you're only selling in stock items, so might you have one of these little buggers laying around that you could sell me?

Re: Dash lights went out...
Well, that didn't work. Fuse still blows as soon as I turn on the lights. Any other ideas?

Re: Dash lights went out...
So I installed a new stereo yesterday and inadvertantly solved my lighting issue. The wiring harness for my stereo has two illumination wires on it. Turns out one of them had become crimped and was contacting a piece of metal and causing a short. I cut it, capped it, replaced the fuse and lo and behold, let there be (dash) lights Now if I can only figure out why my sub isn't working...

Re: Dash lights went out...
That should be a little simpler. I am assuming you are powering it with an amp, and it connects to your head unit through RCA's. So, if you know your amp to be good, it is either the connections/wiring in the sub box, your RCA's, or the output on your head unit. Good luck!

Re: Dash lights went out...
Head unit is brand new. As is subwoofer. I'm pretty sure its the RCA's, its just a matter of having a free day that is preferably warmer than 20 degrees so I can tear into it
