Twin Turbo EG33

Been playing around with the idea of a twin turbo setup. had some Z32 turbos laying around that I was using for a jig. Still need an external oil return pump and to do all the plumbing... But it is an idle project I have been touching on every once in a while.

Re: Twin Turbo EG33

Bit tight for the oil pan?

I'd always had the thought that the turbos should go in the place of the battery and ABS pump (battery to trunk, non-ABS conversion) with one smaller intercooler in each wheel well.

Re: Twin Turbo EG33

No, the turbos are just sitting there. The flanges I made for the manifolds put them away from the pan but clear everything else....

The further away from the exhaust valves the turbo is, the longer it takes to spool and less efficient they become.

You know Tom, I always thought that a remote mount setup would work best for a cramped engine bay like the SVX. Unless, of course, there's more space with a manual swap... :|

dito- downside is running the pipes on the awd version. plenty o room to put in the turbos, oil and water lines, not so much on air to intake line.

Re: Twin Turbo EG33

How about building a jig around the engine to simulate the rest of the sheet metal, etc. that would be present if the engine was actually in a car?

Nice start....we'll just want to get closer to this...

knowing that you could always go back to a single turbo...

Re: Twin Turbo EG33

GT30r remote mount would work well.

Or twin TD04's in the fog light area with reversed headers.
