even if you have a bracket and custom rotors, our mounts are further out from the center of rotation, I believe it was determined that you would need a larger wheel.

The problem is that although the calipers will bolt on, they will be farther out than on an STi, which means we would need custom rotors with a bigger diameter. This is all do-able, if you have the money to throw at it. The reason it can't be done is that the STi caliper is meant for a rotor no bigger than the STi's. Trying to mount the caliper over a huge rotor would mean the caliper would either touch the rotor at the top and bottom, or areas of the pads would not be touching the rotor. Either means it's a no go.

Powdercoat does not weaken the wheels, but the 400F process temps typically used to flow the polyester powder do change the temper of the forged aluminum used b BBS on these wheels making them more flexible (reducing the modulus).
