UK 10th Anniversary meeting

Will be held in Torquay in Devon, south of England on Saturday 8th June.

Looks like we are going to get the jump on you colonials this time. Check in to the European Forum. We have at least 10 arriving for a meal Saturday night, plus photo opportunities, plus press, plus interest from Subaru UK.

Have my ferry booked and I am ready to rock and roll.

We will post up some photos after the event for you all to see. Can't unfortunately do the Brickyard this year, unless I win the lottery this weekend. But I know you guys will have a good time. I will be sipping on some single malt next weekend in your honour!!

Joe

Yippeee!!!
Or in American, Yipeekyay

Yes, CAR is a class act. Very glossy, very slick.

They did a back door article on the SVX which was complimentary and generally glowing. If I can find a copy I will post it up.

Copy, right?

Will do when I find it Bill. I actually have a few articles from different magazines, I have been a fan of the SVX long before buying one. Trouble is, I do not have the means[yet] to convert these to Gifs or Tiffs or whatever is the current format for digital conversion to upload.

However, the good news is I will be retrieving them from their hiding places this week, I intend to bring them with me for the UK meet next Saturday.

Joe

Smile

Hey, Joe - Are you folks doing anything promotional for your meet, like T-shirts, mugs, mug-shots, etc.? It'd be cool if you could ship a momento to a trustworthy SVX sole on this side of the ocean, to be displayed at the colonist's meet in July. Then we can claim an "honorary" representation from the "Isles". How quaint.
If not, just send a box 'o Scotch to my home address.

Ron.

Trustworthy soles

are all at the bottom of the ocean, not either side.

We did not plan anything along these lines Ron, but it sounds a great idea.

There are t-shirt places that will add on a digital image to a shirt. We should be able to organise this, or else some other little memento.

Will float the idea to the other SVX soles, they may have a plan we could follow. One idea is do a group photo shot, and stick it on a t-shirt, maybe with an SVX logo on the chest.

Will kick around the idea, I think the people coming may like something more than a photograph to remember the event.

Regards the scotch, we can get wine in boxes here, usually of the non-salubrious vinegar variety, but scotch still comes in bottles. You colonials have really moved on.

Joe

Thumbs up Keyring

Ron

Have asked our attendees about the possibility of a souvenir, along the lines you suggest. Take it there will be SOMETHING.

My own favourite would be a group image on a mousemat. Possibly with all the hoods wearing trunks, as Larry wants. We will see, we will see. With the owner profile the wrong side of eighteen, like you and me, they are going to be grey enough to pass off as carbon fibre[fiber?] hoods.

Roll on Saturday, my intercontinental plum coloured missile is pointing skyward already.

Joe

How about a T-shirt imprinted with the images of the group dressed in drag, (SOOOO veddy British), with a posed, scantily clad bird (Do they still call them "birds"?) seductively perched upon the hood of a Y****w SVX. That way Randy will HAVE to risk one eye. I would proudly wear such a garment in the heartland of USA. So the box 'o scotch's in the mail? Thanks - Ron.
