...Meanwhile, back at your original topic...bummer on the wheel/tire prang. Have you checked alignment and r/f suspension for damage?

Watch your phraseology!

Earlier this spring, as I stepped into the hall at the change of classes, a student passing by dropped a book, and uttered the "S" word. As he raised back up from retrieving the gravity-challenged text, our eyes met and he said "Uh...sorry Mr. A!" I simply told him not to say something with his mouth, that he wouldn't hold in his hand.... Don

Thanks for your concern Dan.
I was not going fast enough for wheel, suspension, or alignment problems. I have driven the car since my faux pas (French for friggin mistake)progressive faster. I had it up to 90 mph today. The alignment snd suspension are A-ok.

Muffins

Beav,
The last "Buffalo chip" was laid down in West Virginia in the early 1800's, and my county is not an agricultural one, so few of the kids have ever stepped in a cow patty. Dog droppings, on the other hand, are quite plentiful. (come to think of it, the OTHER hand wouldn't make things much better either...) Don

Larry, I'm sorry to hear of your mishap, but it really could have been alot worse. Years ago, I hit curbs in the first two cars I owned (81 Accord and 86 Accord). Exactly one curb per car. I wasn't going that fast either. On both cars, when I hit, I bent the frame and lots of other undercarriage parts. Very expensive to fix. Be glad your SVX isn't damaged that badly.
Dave

Uh. Oh. Uhm. Nevermind.

(I like the way things are going in this thread enough that I don't want to say anything to mess it up - and - I wanted to get in on the replies.)

(Of course, when I show up, sometimes things get a little quiet.)

Can you say scrambled ?

Thanks Dave.

The car's fine but I made an omelet in the trunk; so when I got home, Rosie & I had Sunday Brunch. We had enough eggs to give us a month's worth of cholesterol. Plus, like all good Italians, we had pepper & egg sandwiches.
