So much for staying on topic, hmmm?

Since we're here, I'll throw a log on the fire. If there is a market segment (gay community) that has money and is buying cars, than yes I'll advertise to them.

So if Ford markets to the KKK is it alright? The point I'm trying to make is a lot of people don't agree with gayism and by Subaru marketing to them, it will shun normal people away.

I don't think you can compare gays to the KKK. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the KKK is based on hatred of minorities.

I'm glad to see you have it worked out in your head what the definition of a "normal" person is, but that's just your view. Subaru's marketing makes sense to me.

Now - how do the gay marketing ads pertain to Subaru styling trends?

Which is "okay" to some people. Having sex with another man isn't "okay" to me. I'm just saying why market your cars mostly only to gays instead of the general population? 100% is more than gay%..

They are not marketing their cars mostly to gays.
I don't have the numbers at hand as to what Subaru is spending on marketing to gays, but I'm guessing it's a relatively small percentage of their budget. Most people, unless they were reading gay-oriented publications, wouldn't even be aware it existed.
Subaru recognizes a niche market that is here to stay and is most likely far larger than you think.
I think it takes some balls to do that.

Subaru can market cars to quadriplegic circus clowns for all i care, but can they just stop making them so ****ing stupid-looking?

Impreza - check
Forester - check
Tribeca - check

only nice cars they make now are the Legacy/Outback, and i'm sure they will hit the ugly tree soon, too.

Exactly. I don't give a hoot where the advertising is. The cars need to be re-disigned by someone with a brain.

This is nothing new and again if you're too homophobic to realize you don't belong in someone elses bedroom then make a statement. Sell your Subaru because they must be a truely evil company for supporting and advertising too the gay community.

Well said....Subaru is a business..they look for new ways to reaching out to EVERYONE regardless of their status. I've liked Subaru's since I was first learning to drive....solid, reliable cars, AWD, and affordable.

Ken I'm sorry. Some people just don't get the idea of tolerance. You and your partner are welcome in my house with my wife and kids if you ever pass through.

Back on topic, stop making ugly cars. The new Tribeca, minus the B9 which was stupid to begin with, is alot nicer, even if it does look like a Chysler Pacifica. The new motor is better as well.
