Question Lower ball joint

Does anyone know if aftermarket lower ball joints are available for a 1992 SVX? My Subaru dealer says he is not sure if he can get them? Thanks

I'd check with a parts chain for something like that before ordering from Subaru, but when I went looking for front sway bar bushings recently the guy at O'Reilly's told me their Moog suspension parts book doesn't even list the SVX. I also checked with Advance, where they promptly showed me the door. Hope the parts well on these things isn't running dry already.

I ordered those bushings from a dealership on 3/9/07 and am still waiting; called to check on the holdup and was told one of the pair had to come from Japan.

Ball Joint

I checked Advance Auto Parts and AutoZone online, neither had ball joints. Another good source for parts is :
http://www.rockauto.com They often have parts the others don't and they often have more choices. But, no ball joints (or sway bar bushings).

Or call Liberty Subaru in NJ. Their prices are always real close +/- the other online Soob parts sources. The big advantage is that they charge actual shipping, and NJ to NY should be 1-2 days

Ask for the "Car and Driver" discount...

Apparantly some Toyota balljoints are of a very similar design. Probably won't fit though.

This sucks. I hate to think about what maintaining an SVX will be like in just a few years. Maybe I should just cyrogenically freeze mine.

If some one would pull and ship me an SVX one (old junk one, but not BROKEN please), I will Follow up on this. I work in an MA chain autoparts store, our store is the local warehouse, so as far as moog pieces go, we have a ton. I'll just sit there opening boxs with a pair of calipers.

Seriously, anyone willing to mail me a junk one?? Wouldnt cost ya much, and the end result might be beautiful.
