I can't say I have seen this colour Roo, but on the SVX the Graphite Grey is the most suave colour, I love it.

In the distance it looks black, close up you can see it is grey.

In standard trim this scheme comes with black roof and trunk lid. One of the members in Scotland repainted his, and choose to spray the whole car using 222. It is terrific.

The reason I mention this is to ratify grey as a good choice for the SVX. I'll post some pics.

If your colour change is to be complete you should spray the whole car, including the engine bay.

[BTW, you probably know this but in most cars the colour sprayed inside the engine bays etc is not the complete outer colour, but is a semi matt version of the body colour. You need to observe this protocol if you car is to look "correct". NB.]

I couldn't agree more...I have mine painted BMW Sparkling Graphite Metallic. It looks dark, nearly black from afar, and up close it is a really clean grey, sometimes even a dark green.

I can scrounge up the paint code if you are interested.

See attached pics.

Wow, that's nice. I'd love that colour with the black roof/trunk.

That first picture looks increadible. Wow is all I have to say.

Also the first SVX I've ever seen that I like WITHOUT the spoiler. Very impressive.

I thought about going with the black roof/trunk, but thought the one colour looked cleaner with the spoiler removed.

I believe the paint code is BMW A22, from 2004-7 3 series.

As for pics, I unfortunately don't have many more as I just got her a few weeks back. When the snow stops here I will take some shots.

There was an orange SVX with shaved door handles on Autotrader a while back. I think in the Toronto area

These are pics of the OEM dark grey for the SVX:

The paint code is 222. The first 3 are UK, the last is JDM. All of these have the black roof and trunk lid.

However, John painted his UK car all over grey, it looks marvellous. Another combination I think would work well would be to leave the roof only black. Paint the trunk lid and side flashes in grey. It should look a magic combination.
