What do you think about the new look?

Yeah, the pics don't do it justice at all. They are way glossy. For the moment I am using rattle can so it doesn't stay permanently. When it comes time for the final product, the tires will be dismounted and the wheels will go to a spray booth as well as get some minor media blasting treatment. I figured in a week or two I will try out a gunmetal look and see how it turns out.

I had an impreza on a video game (tokyo extreme tracer)
It had black rims with white spokes. looked toatlly killer. try a photochop on that look.
like I said though I think the black rims set off the black accents on the car really well.
gunmetal is good too.

I would paint the inner lip(where the air valve is) a contrasting color: white, silver, grey. Too much black between the rim and the tire, needs a break in the color scheme.

Otherwise, looks good.

Now you need to tint the windows so that the car is all black and white.

They are still the same wheels just painted black.

Most everyone says too much black. In a way, I agree.

If the black was a deep glossy black to match the roof, it would be better. Even so, the wheels would still stand out better with the outer rim mirror polished. This silver/chrome ring will then make a visual break between the black of the spokes, and the black of the tire.

No more accusations of "Too black"

BTW, the wheels are nice and suit the car, but the blue centre Rally cap is totally wrong for the Midnight Racer look. Blacken it or chrome it.

Looks great as that's what I have on my Impreza... mmmm white and black all the way...

I would however do one thing... or would of done one thing... I would of left the lip a different color (pretty much like what a few other people said). I wish I would of done that to min, but I didn't so meh I still like it.

In regards to that "I am not Takumi" photochop... there's an SVX in Initial D 4th Stage RIGHT before Takumi races the White Altezza. The artists did a awesome job drawing the SVX. =)

this might be ghey.. but I love the "takumi photoshop" I think that looks hella pimp!!!

I had a thread on this last year, there is actually a few svx's edited into Initial d, turning at traffic lights and on the side of the road etc, when i saw it for the first time i made my mates watch the scene like 30 times hehe
