Very true. Here's hoping he sourced a strong clutch for his 6-speed...

Tom, what clutch did you put into Mike's car?

CLutch Masters FX100 clutch. I thought about getting the FX200 but I figured I'd try the cheaper one first. If it doesnt hold I'll step up.

What's the torque rating on the FX100 clutch? Have a link to their website?

looks like 70% over stock, should be a good clutch for you to put your power to the ground but not send it onto the ground

Looks like a good choice. Stock STI's weigh 3,300lbs and make 300ft-lbs of torque at the crank. That clutch should therefore be good to 510 ft-lbs and the weight of mikecg's fwd->awd converted SVX should be within 100lbs of an STI...

are you kidding?? I did the curb weight math with my silver and it weighs aprox 3800#'s with a 200lb driver. Granted, not all of us are 200lbs<---damnit but I am and with a full tank of gas and the car fully outfitted plus the extra weight of the R180 the SVX is still a hog. Mike car will prob. weigh close to to 3700 on a full tank with him driving as it is an L model and he does not weigh as much as me...

Strange, the DMV in delaware has a scale built into the break machine. I remember the 92 weighing in at 3600lbs with me and 3/4 tank with the Auto still in it.

The L also is light due to no ABS, no leather, no power seats, no power sunroof, lighter wheels(aftermarket).

if me and Chuck at BF! ever get our crap together I two would have a turbo or maybe a twin turbo SVX that I would be willing to drive up there and let them "test out"

I know I know, I gotta go get talk to Chuck tomorrow, still gotta decide which turbo/turbo, single or twin, and intercoolers... and postioning for all of it, then I still have to decide to do a full custom fuel mapping through one of the shops(most likely Propulsion) or the stage 2... and if I am going to convert it to a stick or keep the auto(for now only), as well as brakes and maybe different rims and tires...

dunno, Haven't even thought about it since this thread was still around. Anyway it is still a good idea but people just lost interest as we never heard anything more from SCR

I'm a little sad myself no one else followed through on this. I think all Tom from SCR was a couple E-mails from you East Coasters expressing interest. Maybe in the next year or so I'll have an SVX worthy of SCR
