How is your SVX in Snow?

Mine is very very very good. Story : Sun. here in Ct we got burried in snow the streets were not plowed down to the TAR. My wife and I had to go to the store... a store is on top of the hill. Well I start up the hill this guy in a Saturn View is following me. I can see him saying to himself this guy is gona get stuck in front of me. Well he is like on my butt all the way up the hill. I said to the wife let's see him panic. I stopped at a stop sign at the steepest part of the hill . ( we had been cruising thu them up to this point ) I took off snow flying. He sat there spinning. I got to the top of the hill he was still there stuck....

With the Toyo Observe snow tires on, I like to think of it as a 230hp Snowmobile

My Legacy kicks ass in the snow...and since the SVX has 100 more HP and an LSD, I'm willing to bet it hauls ass.

What's snow??? We don't get that in Idaho. Mine kicks ass in the snow even with summer tires. A lot of it also comes down to how the driver controls the car.

We get so much snow here, and this car doesn't care at all. Today the roads were COVERED with slush and snow. No problem at all! I got some nice winter tires from Ricerocket when I bought the car from him, so she goes where others can't with no hassle.

I went to an un-plowed parking lot the other day and decided to go park in the very back corner, just because I could (after doing about 5 laps in the 6-10" snow cover). So much fun. SVXs are amazing.

My brother needed his driveway cleared, so I just drove through it a few times and it was done (last year with over a foot of snow)!

with snow tires mine was a beast - i used to enjoy watching the neighbors shoveling their driveways.

i did get stuck once, however. i went to pull out of my garage, and then <thunk> ..... the snow was higher than the bumper and i just bottomed out! i said screw this, i'm not shoveling out over 2.5 feet of snow from the driveway, and took the subway to work.

My legacy is AMAZING in the snow. I have the base 5mt in it and toyo spectrums. They are reasonable all-weather tires... they do very good in snow and ice and decent in the rain with this tranny. The last blizzard we had, I drove literally all day through it. All day log I was behind people and passing cars that had pulled off the road and given up. At the gas stations I always got stuck pushing cars and trucks... and I drove in like it was nothing at all.

Another great thing about this car is that it is still easy to have fun with. I can control just about any slide and throw it into a whirling dervish of fun and snap it back into control just as easily.

I have a similar tranny in the svx now, and I imagine with similar tread tires it will be the same. With the auto in the svx riding on FZ4s it did pretty well as long as I limited the gears. I image with blizaks it would be very good.

Subarus, I love it when SUVs try to tailgate you in the snow....

My only complaint at all is the fact that I have to get out once in a while to "de-ice" the springs on the wipers if I'm driving in a snow storm. Every couple hours usually. (legacy that is)
