suggested presettings for f & r konis

i figured out how to set them all and want to hear feed back on what you all have them set at with the gc coilovers. im looking for a great ride back to the states. im really going to notice the difference with these and the poly bushings and new tires. my struts now are shot and tires are bald. i get the small shakes.

You really only have to worry about how you set the rears, as once they are installed you can't adjust them without removing them. Try around 360 degrees in the firm direction.

also with the weight of the car being heavy like the fat girl from cheers. firm would probly stop her from dragging her belly on the ground (dual exuast). and on the way home im going to have some junk in the trunk (from ak to mo). firm equals quicker rebound right (less bouncing). softer equals slower rebound. am i right? maybe the noise (the swooshing) is from them being soft in the rear (earthworm cause u didnt adjust them)?

Not exactly. Firm = higher dampening. The firmer the setting the less willing the strut is to move.

so let me get this right, Compress the strut all the way, turn clockwise until it hits a stop. Thats the firmest setting. Then turn counterclockwise 1 full turn as a happy medium for driving and racing?? Ijust double checking

on the rears u have to compress the fronts are knob turned (like a key). for the fronts that is how earthw said his was set up. but the rears were not turned at all so they are soft. they come all the way soft.

According to the pictogram instructions that come with them, that is the way you do it. Porter set mine to full stiff befor he sent them to me so I didn't acctualy get to adjust mine own.

suba how is the ride. trip worthy? every day drivable? or just for the tracks? porter claimed in other threads the firmest is the way to go.

Mine are about a full turn off of full firm and I get a little bounce when I go over good sized speed bumps at speed...so, I guess I'm saying that full firm may not be the way to go for everyday driving....Remember that Jesse also has the GC springs with his Konis.
