Smile 1st SVX

I just picked up my first SVX. Having owned a 95 Outback and a 97 GT Wagon I wanted to try an SVX. It is a 1992 Claret with 200,157 miles on it. It is a one woman owner. The car is immaculate. New paint, trans rebuilt at 185,000, new radiator and just passed PA inspection needing only a headlight bulb. Never wrecked and everything works perfect. It even has the SVX flashlight in the owners manual folder. Slight pulsation under hard braking but shouldn't be a problem until it needs pads replaced than I will replace the rotors. Valve covers appear to be damp so it may need the gaskets replaced.
I am sure I will be spending more time on this forum as it appears there is a wealth of knowlege here.

Happy Motoring
Steve

Great to have another happy new owner.
Before you replace anything on the brakes try torquing the lugnuts equally with a good torque wrench all the way around.

I have one of those flashlights too that I bought off ebay - but so far I still haven't located a replacement battery for it

Welcome to the site Steve. There is a wealth of info here, so check out all of the site. There is a "How-To Documents" section as well with lots of stuff. It sounds like you got a good one even though it has 200K already. It will give you lots more miles, I'm sure. There are a couple around that have over 300K on them. Yours may be next!

Welcome

Welcome to the site and SVX ownership. As you can see from several of us on here, it is hard to buy just one.

Much to my surprise the running Pearl parts car that I just bought still had a pen in the owners manual.

nice

Sounds like a great buy, I'm sure you will enjoy it. There is indeed much knowledge and experience here(not to mention the amazing sense of community) this has to be the coolest car to own, just because of the fan base that comes with it. See you around the forums..
