Do you remember the PBS show "Metting of the Minds" with Steve Allen? Where he had important people in history meeting at the same table? I have often wondered about my list....who I would choose. Jesus would be my first choice. Two others would be automatic; Mark Twain and Will Rogers..... Don
How apropos - If Will & Mark can't make it, how about Randy & Eddy?
Better title for show - Meeting of the Minefields. Once again, we expect India/Pakistan, Israel/Palestine, etc.....
In the immortal words of Linda Ellerbee, "And so it goes".
Sigh, Ron.

You *did* make a veiled threat of booting me, and because of something said on *my* (or so I was told) forum. So much for his hindness's benevolent non-interference policy. I rarely visit here any more, (due to your heavy handed approach to moderating forums), ain't it funny that I am the topic of discussion?

Bash on please! I don't expect to be back in awhile. Tis nice to start reading posts and find my moniker near the top of the list.

BTW- How's that AWS setup you have working? And I hope that tranny that was fixed (how many times?) is working well for you. And don't stay away from the Yahoo site because of me...you do know a bit about the car, and your advice/help is always welcome. An aside though please, when you start telling the people that don't have AWS (every other SVX in America) how well yours works, don't listen to the snickering, it'll only burst yer bubble.
Ah, "the cat" rears its ugly head (or, should I say "heads its ugly rear"). Perceptions versus reality, my man. You "perceived" a veiled threat after my response to "lost members." I had no intention of "kicking" anyone off (for the record). Heavy handed? I'd be happy to post a poll and leave that to the court of public opinion. Bashing? Bubba, you don't know bashing. If I wanted to "bash" you'd darned well know it. *Your* forum, insomuch as it regarded your expertise on technical issues -- rudeness and belligerance was not part of the deal. As far as "false accusations" if you consider that response as calling you "a liar" well . . . the posts are still there for all to see, they can draw their own conclusions.

My "passive AWS" is working just fine. Let those who want to scoff, do so. Those who contend that "steering" is not affected by reaction of the bushings (read the post from the subaru manual -- though it doesn't say "steering" in exact words, it certainly describes the "reaction") need to have a long talk with some skateboarders who are undoubtedly relegated to go in a perpetual straight line.

My tranny (current) has been fixed twice (rebuilt the first time, rebuilt the second time because the folks burned it up diagnosing the "tps" and is now experiencing the 2-3 shift flare under load again). Still, I haven't reached the 4,600.00 price tag that these vultures wanted for a suby re-man, so, I'll have it rebuilt again if necessary.

BTW, good to see you too eddy.

you have got to be the most bitter person i have ever encountered.

to be quite honest it has been pleasant since your voluntary departure. you are much too abrasive to fit in here. enjoy your posting with the other yahoo's (on offense larry).

A Reminder

I could care less who threatens whom about what. But when it comes to removing people or their accounts off this board it is done by one person. ME! Now that we all understand who has the golden delete key, lets all move on to more productive issues. I thought the purpose of the forum was bring people together for the greater good of the group. Wanna fight, do it in email or find a nice quiet corner at the 10 year aniversary meet and do some "wall to wall counseling."

We're getting into a scenario that I've often dreamed about as the ultimate stage for entertainment; that is assembling all the great comics in a Bill Mahr format, & let it all hang out. Let's add Phil Silvers, Bob Newhart, Milton Berle, & Buddy Hackett to name a few of the better known wits, plus Dick Shawn & Carol Wayne (Remember her's, uhh.. her)? It'd also be refreshing to hear these renowned folks rely on pure humor without total dependence on the "F" word & others to elicit the ROFLMAO effect.
Ron.

"Metting" of the Minds? Is that where deep thinkers sit around and eat sausages?

I'm gonna have to go back to the Yahoo site (I haven't been there in at least 8 months) to see what all this hollering is about...

I was just getting used to only reading one board...
