I'm soooo Sorry to hear this.

Have you ever lost a key? Has it driven by someone else like a valet or a mechanic? I know its hard to fathom an SVX stalker, but you never know.

If you find the perp, keep him locked up in your basement until Reading and we can take turns dragging him around the parking lot.

Doug

Sorry Cigar. Will keep my eyes peeled for a replacement as you don't want that one back. What about the low mileage one that Dr Outback is selling? Hope the surgery goes okay for the boy as well.

. I see where you're going. Actually though they really aren't made for towing. They are tie downs for shipping across the Pacific. They'll work for some towing but damaging the area results in unibody damage. Very bad when selling to a dealer. Now a 150-250 drag behind shouldn't hurt it too badly.

Stolen

Hi John, Well its always something. I can't believe two cars in one day. You will now be known as the "Carmiester" Only Mike and his tranny problems might have an edge. I hope yours or a new one that is better than yours turns up quick. Take care and good luck with your son. Bobb

Too bad the tree wasn't through their head or torso as well.

Still no word today about the car. My son however has a very minor fracture and just needs his finger buddy taped to the one next to it. At least that went well.

Johnny

Pity Party?

Much as I am tempted to complain about the worst Christmas I've ever had (much illness and nasty legal problems), I learned a long time ago that Life will inevitably humble you. As throughly maddening and hugely inconvenient stolen vehicles and mechanical problems are...not that bad...you could be that fisherman in Sumatra who lost EVERTYTHING (entire family, house, boat...nothin' but his life and the clothes on his back). For me, it's v. annoying that when **** happens and I want to vent and complain-there's always someone way worse off! So I can't even enjoy a little pity party! It's not fair, it just is.

May I recommend puttin' your favorite blues on at the appropriate sound level, pour yourself and the wife your favorite libation, give her a big hug, put some ice on yer nuts and be grateful for the many blessings what you've got, your SVX Network friends among them. You'll find a better lower mileage SVX...let's look forward to making '05 a great year.
A healthy and prosperous new year to all...

I knew someone who had a small pickup truck stolen. It was found 10 months later when the owner of an apartment complex started wondering which tenant owned the truck with moss on the windshield.

The cheap stereo and speakers were missing, but that was all. It still had a full tank of gas and they even did a nice job of removing the stereo without damaging anything.

The police believe that someone stole it because they needed a ride. They think the stereo was probably stolen some time later by someone else. Apparently this happens with some frequency.

I hope fate smiles on you.

The Saturn that I'm driving now (grumble) was stolen a few years ago, it was found 3 or 4 weeks later in the parking lot of a public housing complex in the next town over. Minimal damage, 'cept that the leftovers I had in a box in the back seat developed lethal fumes. Hope your SVX is returned to you intact.

A buddy of mine had his wrangler stolen. The police found it and stole it again. They were nice enough to charge him over $300 in impound fees to get it back.

Another friend who lives at the same place had a car stolen in broad daylight. They walked outside and saw it driving up the road. Worst part was that it was an old dodge dynasty that the headlights didn't even work. The police stole that one too, but it was "totalled". They said it was undrivable and was missing a tire. In other words it was just missing a tire .

The Pittsburgh police love to impound cars.
