Ring color

If I switch colors, it will be to a cobalt blue.

Maybe one could use red-green led with 3 leads. Hook the green to the door light circuit and hook the red to the security system and ground to ground. Then the light will blink red and light up green when you pull on the door handle.

No better ! find a way to keep the green light on at all times, and make the red blink...

Well that would be as simple as running a wire from the car thats got 12volts and a resistor to lower the voltage for the led to about 5volts.

USDM: Bubble level for adjusting headlights. - Too cool for school
EURO: Headlight level switch on shifter console. - I can only imagine

Man,... the US got shafted w/ the crappier center differential. I wish I had fulltime AWD.

That's right I'm whining.

Most security systems when properly installed will trigger when the door handle is lifted, therefore you may never be able to properly see the fruits of your labor, lest you want to listen to a siren going off.

Not with ours. It goes off when you try to get the door open. When you lift the handle it only turns on a light if the door is locked and the system is armed. I've had to deal with the SVX securty system for a while. The only thing you want to avoid is lifting the handle right as your push the unlock button on your remote. I've set off my alarm 2 times doing that.

Edit, Oh it would be so much cooler to have a 3 color red-green-blue led so it could be red for armed, green for unarmed and a nice blue for the door handle light.

Took me forever to find the summer/winter wiper switch. I had heard about it, but just assumed for some reason I didn't have one.

The dimmer switch for the clock/radio/climate control lights is really cool too. Didn't really understand it until I drove in the dark. They really can be too bright in the dark and too dim in the daylight.

One of the coolest things I think is the lights off when the key's off. Only bad thing is that it spoils me in other vehicles... gotta remember to turn off the lights!
what is this winter summer mode?? im confused

it parks the wipers higher up so they don't get all iced up and stuck down in the cowl in winter. they are also higher up so that the defroster can hit them.

can we have an FAQ page? this car is weird enough that it needs it!

Look under the dashboard, above where your left knee would be if you were sitting in the drivers seat.

How about the obscure black elastic band at the very back of the glove compartment, used to hold the owner's manual out of the way.

I never noticed it until I took my glove box out one day while trying to recover a tweeter that had separated from the grille.

so hide the alarm blinker from the robber, make your car seem not having a security system. my advice, keep the green light at all times along with the red or blue blinker, and install a module warning the robber when he approaches the car! install a tiny amplifier and a waterproof speaker above the wheel's plastic, and that's it !
