Hmmm. When I played the song on my station, it was listed as Joao Gilberto, which is how I announced it. I recently saw a TV commercial with the singer listed as "ASTRUD" Gilberto. Of course, Stan Getz has always been the same.
So, I decided to unravel this mystery. Joao Gilberto is the supposed "father of Bossa Nova" in the U.S. Getz and he, teamed up -- Astrud (Not ADTRID), Joao's wife, made a guest appearance on Joao and Getz's second album to sing "Girl From Ipanema. http://www.duke.edu/~msc1/bio.html
