Lightbulb Cheap cure for that nasty taillight condensation

When I first got my SVX, I just assumed the raindrops INSIDE the tail lights were a factory option. When other members here & there (Wahoo) explained that, NO, idiot, that's just another endearing trait of Japanese engineering. The seams don't seal, & when it rains, mosquitos actually breed in there. The fixes were to spend hours removing the whole tail light assembly, drilling little holes in the plastic in just the "right" places, & what leaks in will leak out, eventually. Other fixes involved hair dryers, blow torches & PLAY-DOH.
Well, I lived with this unsightly flaw until some time this summer when I noticed no droplets were visible. SVXcess had sucessfully used clear silicon around all the visible seams & now has pristine lenses.
As all my available silicon caulk was either white or brown, I decided to try something else. Black electrical tape! Yes... I taped up every seam that I could reach. Now, after 2 months, NO drips! Now, of course, the whole country is in a drought, but after two hand, & one automatic car wash, still dry! And, since most of us are still in this drought, it's THE time to tape!
Oh.. I forgot to mention the tape is "VERY SPECIAL SVX TAPE", & only I, with permission from SOA am allowed to sell it. Just send me $9.95 plus $27.50 S&H, & I'll send you a 10 foot roll. Please allow 10-12 weeks for processing & anthrax decontamination.
You're welcome - Ron.

Ron,

I believe that you forgot to mention that the first 10 people who order the tape from you, get a free cardboard box of wine in the color of their choice: either red, white or pink. You should also tell them that this free gift increases the S&H charges to $50-.

The tale of the tape...

Uh...Ron? Does the tape go on the inside or the outside?

And if it goes on the inside, doesn't that kinda seal those little sketter fellers in there forever....kinda like ants in amber? Trap all that hu-ma-diddy in there too?

Just a wonderin'....Don the rocket scientist

Well, Don, I put my tape on the outside. However, for better protection in the long run, I'd advise running some tape on the inside seams as well. This step, of course brings in the necessity of using the blowtorch, and another tool called the crowbar. Naturally you'll be using more tape, so better order at least 2 or 3 rolls.
For multi-tape orders you'll receive a 2% discount! Just add another $27.50 S & H charge per roll. Better order now, this tape is HOT!!
AND... if you order NOW, I'll THROW IN a one ounce spray bottle of Cutter's mosquito & TseTsefly spray to guard against future infestations. Just add another $27.50 S & H fee per order.
Hurry!! This is a limited offer only for the first 5000 customers.
Ron.
