hello everybody! sorry ive not been on for a while so much has gone on on here!! firstly my best wishes to andy and family!! has devons insurance co decided to do the right thing? your car back now tony? well boys and girls!!! my car comes home this week!!! id like to thank all of you for your help and advice! found a family run gearbox specialist in hastings( if she comes back sweet ill post the address and phone no) sadly it was £500 labour to take out and put box back but they had to do that anyway the problems were.......... that band had snapped.... and all the clutches were burnt out bare metal..... and a piece of burr the size of a small bear in the sump......... the price for all of this love and care????????....£1050+vat cheap at twice the price... packing girlfriend of to the bank on monday!! once again all thanks for help and advice!! gotta go and cook her a roast dinner now by way of a thank you bx

Glad you've got yours back. Still trying to sort mine! Box rebuild was about the same as yours £1300 all in (plus fitting etc). However, something else is wrong with the transmission that wasn't there before the work! Currently being looked at by the rebuilder.....10 weeks it's been of the road so far!
