New England convoy to Reading?

Any one up for a convoy.
The idea is to leave CT. around 11:00 to 11:30 and get to reading around 6:00 to 7:00 depending on traffic.

Right now me and AFBeefcake may be doing it but want to see if anyone else from Maine, NH, Mass, or RI wants to meet up and head down togeter. Or even people that we might go buy further south want to hook up as we roll through.

So if you like the proposed arrival time and can meet in the Norwich area of CT. on Fri around 11:00 then let me know.

Well last year I just went down 95 to the Garden state and so on. But I'm thinking of maybe a better route because the traffic when you get to the south west corner of CT into NY sucks. If you have any route suggestions lets hear them, we got plenty of time to plan for it.

I go 95 to Milford, where I get on Merritt, to Cross Westchester (287) to Garden State, etc. Traffic's not too bad that way so long as you get going early enough on Fri. If you're near Metro NY after 3pm, it's a disaster.

So would leaving around 11:00 put us in that traffic? There has to be a viable way around that crappy NY traffic.

I'll bite.

Well, Got my car last fall, had a million and one problems with it, and I'm poor as dirt. Yup, I CERTAINLY got the wrong car for me. But I'd sell my body to keep my baby on the road. I'll bite. I'm coming down from the tip of NH. Where do you want to meet in Conn?

This is all subject to me actually having my car RUNNING at that time... wheel bearings and a body repair job keep staring me in the face...

Acctually Alan, seems your the only other deffinite NewEnglander making the trip, if you can set a certain time and place I'll let you pick the meeting place, you know the area better than I do. As long as this shopping center is easy enough for anyone to find. Let us know where it is so others can start palnning to be there at a certain time from whereever thier comming from.

hmmmm MapQuest

Well... looking at this... It looks like the best place for ME to meet up with you guys (I have 2 damned months, I should be able to get wheel bearings fixed..shesh...), would be around New Haven Conn, or later, but New Haven is where I'll be getting onto 1-95S from I-91S. So thats where our paths will converge. I'll know quite some time before hand if something comes up and I am unable to go, and I don't think anything will. Count me in as a definant heh.

Anyways, recap. earliest meeting place: where 95S & 91S merges. I don't know a darn thing about Conn, so I don't know what a good place is in that area. lets talk it up!

Well I know Colchester a little but I don't know Glastonbury at all so, I 'm cool with meeting you in Colchester and if James can find find his way to the HomeDepo in Glastonbury for around 12ish? Then I think we might have a plan going here.
