128K Miles

Just rolled over this morning....makes me wonder how long my $750 horrid paint SVX will last.

I think I have about 124k on mine...not exactly sure...

...no major repairs, though...ever.

I've just recently crossed the 161K mark. No signs of slowing. Went on (what should have been) an hour and a half drive Saturday. I wound up getting lost and went (what should have been) 30 minutes out of my way. I still made the drive in an hour and a half. Ya just gotta love this car!!!

Thanks guys, you just made me feel a whole hell of alot better about rolling mine over to 70K I wanted to cry today when I looked down and saw how close I am to the 70K mark.

Okay Cool A$$ Story. So last sunday I am cleaning the SVX, and getting ready for this weeks meet. For some reason I decided to get into the panel for my tail lights. Once in I noticed some paper stuffed in there, so I started pulling the crap out, there where all kinds of maps and a bunch of trash (crap) in there. However I never would have guessed what I would find below it all. There it was in all its glory, the original paper work in its dirty but original Subaru SVX Stamped pouch. I think the coolest part was finding out where the car was first sold, the first owner, the original price paid, and that I am the second owner. All in all it was a pretty cool night or maybe I need to get out more.

Okay so this story might not be that cool a$$ but I still wanted to share it with y'all.

Ryan if it makes you feel any better I still owe 5000 on mine.

Later
Chris

Cool story

....and 143k on SuperRu at the moment. Other than 3 rear wheel bearings (!) and regular checkups, no problems. Had 72k on it when I got it from the local dealer who got it at auction. Came with no paperwork at all, so I took a bit of a chance, but so far so good... Don

....but I need a new paint job. I will be majorly embarassed at Canaan Valley. Maybe I can wrap the car like that Enterprise rental car ad, with just the windows left uncovered....

"SVXphile? Yeah, he's parked down there at the end. You can't miss his car. It's the one in the brown paper bag..." Don

133 and counting

Other than four transmissions (92 recall, Ohio emissions testing idiots, and two tow truck mishaps) and three wheels bearings, the car is still a favorite of mine.

Okay Cool A$$ Story. So last sunday I am cleaning the SVX

The older couple I bought mine from had all the paperwork in a manila folder. Every oil change every dealer receipt. Even had the paperwork from the original owner. I am the 3rd. I took all the paperwork, put it in reverse cronological order and 3 hole punched it and put it in a binder. It now resides in the truck. When ever i need to look back and see when something was done. It is very easy. I am doing this for the rest of my cars as well.

Great story. Always wanted to open up the truck and find something. Consider it a treasure.

Yes, it's a cool a$$ story and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. So far, I've had to buy all my "original" stuff: The folder (which fits neatly behind the large rubber band against the back side of the glove box -- for those of you who don't know it's there); the remotes (didn't have one); OE Keys (mine came with a "copy"); the Jacket ; and, the tool kit. Not to mention the OE wipers, and oh yeah, a tranny.

I remember when I thought 70K was a lot of miles!

Wow .... 70K, 110K, 124K, 130K, 143K, 161K .... and mine with all of 56K. Still a relative teenager. (Doesn't act that way, though.)

But, let us not forget <takes off hat and places it over heart> Doug Mohr with over 210K! A true road warrior (not to mention, was it, eleven trannies?).
